Newbie Here!

I came across a new art form and thought that I would give this a try.  I'm NOT saying that this will ever take the place of my beloved rubber stamping and card making, because that is my first love.  However, this drawing medium can be done when I'm not in my trusty craft room.  Maybe laying in bed at night, or during lunch when it's raining outside and I can't go out and walk.  This is to fill in those times of space when I am not rubber stamping and WANT to do something!  This MAY even ENHANCE my stamping creativity!  You can add these tangles to the inside of some rubber stamp images.  (Watch my blog for more about that)   I happened to stumble across this art form when I was looking for something else on the internet... well.. one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was jumping from one tangle blog to the next!  Funny thing is, that I've doodled like this ever since I can remember.  I'm SO not kidding!!  I've been doing these strange stupid doodles when I was a kid... WHO KNEW that there was actually a name to it!!  This art form is called Zentangle! It was developed by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas! You can read all about it here"Anything is possible, one stroke at a time!"

So... here is some of my work... Hope you'll find this art form an enjoyable past-time as I have!
SOoooo... These are some of the first ones that I've done...  Let me know what you think!!

Until next time...
Carol

  2. Hi Carol. I just came to your site from Splitcoast Stampers. I just started doing Zentangle in January, 2012. My first love is also stamping, but I was in the hospital for quite some time and they have something called Arts in Medicine. I found out about Zentangle there. You are doing a great job! I love your tangles. I was wondering what tangle you used for your second one from the top. It looks like some sort of curved vessel. I have not seen it before and I would love to know the name so that I can find directions to draw it. I would love for you to email me… gobarb26@aol.com I hope you are still using this blog! Thanks,
    Barb
